This is the first volume to present the history of the German Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe, the superior federal court for civil and criminal matters, in the period 1950 to 1968. Volume 1 deals with the structure, function, and staff of the court as well as the burdens of the Nazi past, while volume 2 gives an overview of the BGH’s rulings over time.
