Joaquín Sabina's voice is doubly unmistakable. To how recognizable the wrinkles in his sandpaper voice are, we must add what we could call his style, which allows us to identify when the song lyrics are his, although sometimes we cannot explain exactly why. In this voice of Sabina, however, one can also recognize those of other artists who preceded her. In his lyrics we can sometimes hear verses that remind us of a poet or another lyricist, and even words that were written directly by others. Addressing a question that has barely been addressed until now, this book reveals the literary influences that can be recognized in Sabina's lyrics. Furthermore, it responds to how and why the Spanish singer-songwriter has borrowed the words of other authors in the form of intertextuality. We embark on a guided tour of Sabina's intimate library, made up of names such as José Alfredo Jiménez, César Vallejo or Pablo Neruda, among many others
