The book collects a series of original contributions on the theme of Aristotelian hylomorphism, in particular on the theoretical and interpretative problems raised by the application of the inextricable couple material/form to the psycho-biological field. Each of the essays explores a specific aspect of the Aristotelian conception of the soul, according to a thematic extension that ranges from the ontology of the living body to the organization of the bio-cognitive functions of the animal, up to the practical and ethical-political dimension of human life.
