The volume "International and Democratic Perspectives on Inclusion and Equal Opportunities" brings together selected contributions from the 36th Annual Conference of Inclusion Researchers (IFO), which was hosted by the Intercantonal University of Special Education Zurich from 8 to 10 February 2023. The relationship between inclusion and democracy as well as equal opportunities will be analysed from an interdisciplinary and international perspective and made usable for practice. The guiding question is: What is the relationship between equitable participation and inclusion and democratic forms of society and their developments?
