Achtsamkeit ist als Gesundheitsförderung in Schule und Lehrer*innenbildung angekommen, ihr pädagogisches Potential geht aber weit darüber hinaus. Dieses nimmt Dominik Weghaupt in den Blick und erforscht Achtsamkeit als Übungsform sowie als psychologische Variable in bildungswissenschaftlicher Hinsicht. Er zeigt phänomenologisch die Charakteristika achtsamkeitsbasierter Lehrveranstaltungen auf, analysiert Achtsamkeitsübungen als pädagogische Praxis und diskutiert den personalen Aspekt pädagogischer Professionalität. Ebenfalls Gegenstand der Analyse sind die Prozesse von Selbstregulation und Selbstkenntnis in Verbindung zu Achtsamkeit - wodurch diese als ein moderierender Faktor für gelingendes pädagogisches Handeln hervortritt.
